Parn Sword - Handpainted 3D Hero Prop

Handpainted 3D sword based on Parn's sword from Record of Lodoss War. The mix of D&D and Lord of the Rings boiled into a 90´s style anime really caught me, so I decided to work on the sword that Parn, one of the main characters, decided to inherit from his disappearing father so he could help in saving the world from the unforgiving darkness taking Lodoss by assault. Modeled and rendered in Blender, textured in Substance 3D Painter (base colors), 3DCoatTextura and Photoshop (concept, UV painting and adjustments). This time I decided not to work on a high poly version so I could see how far I could go with the painting over the model; worked on a worn out version also, because why not?
